Sigma Kappa Sorority provides many opportunities for members to become involved  in community service and philanthropic projects. Sigma Kappa encourages its members to be actively involved in their community as well on the CSUF campus.

Chapters across the country support Sigma Kappa Philanthropies which include:
In 1954 Sigma Kappa became the first national sorority to see the need to continued, comprehensive work on the study of Gerontology and the needs of elderly population.  Each chapter raises money every year and participates in annual walks in order to find a cure for
Alzheimer's Disease
.
In 1918 the Maine Sea Coast Mission was adopted as our first national philanthropy in honor of our founders, who were all from Maine.   Its purpose is to serve as a disaster relief fund.  This includes clothing and can food drives.
In 1992 , Inherit the Earth was developed to tie Sigma Kappa's interest in gerontology with its interest in the environment.  Through this program collegians, alumnae and older citizens work together to improve local environments.
